Adam is a registered psychologist and clinical psychology registrar who works with children, adolescents, adults and families with a diverse set of needs. Adam takes a supportive and empathic approach to therapy, drawing upon psychodynamic frameworks and incorporating treatment elements from other modalities in his work with clients (such as cognitive-behavioural therapy, interpersonal therapy, acceptance and mindfulness-based therapy, narrative therapy).
Alongside psychological intervention, Adam provides training seminars and workshops to parents and educators outlining psychological issues for young people and their impact on learning, socialisation and behaviour. He holds qualifications in education and has extensive experience with school systems, working collaboratively with teachers and school counsellors to promote a cohesive, ecological approach to psychological treatment.
Adam’s clinical interests include mood and anxiety-based problems, peer relationship difficulties, self-esteem, familial relationships, neurodevelopmental disorders (including autism spectrum disorders and ADHD), learning difficulties and challenging behaviours.
